Recently concluded by IDW and rereleased as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Urban Legends, the series initially ran from 1996 to 1999 and put the Turtles along with Master Splinter through all manner of body horror. Following Raphael and Casey Jones, this series featured over-the-top brawls, assassinations, and shootouts, with Raph uncharacteristically using firearms and explosives in a total splatter-fest. The Image TMNT run began with the mini-series Bodycount, a book that lived up to its title.
